Frédéric begins playing music in 1980 and studies the drum kit in
the Contemporary Musical Center of Nice where he obtains two first
prizes. After various experiments in regional bands he dashes into
composition, investigates and looks for the musical energy in
various projects: associating performances dance and improvised
music, work with video directors, sound poetry, sound painting,
illustration music… Today, his technique and the richness of his
playing allow him a contrasted, surprising freedom of expression,
going from the most minimal to the most dense and intense. His
inspiration takes its source in the instant, it can be light,
airfull, creating more tribal, even violent but also subtle
atmospheres, letting appear some fragmented "barbaric" rhythms out
of a sound continuum…
